11/15/01 Hawaii itinerary on Vision of the Seas.We booked Category C (a suite), and when we arrived, we found the room absolutely filthy!! Lipstick on the bedspread, white furniture was BLACK on the arms, dust and grime all over the coffee table. The carpet was filthy (black spots and spills everywhere..looked like red wine in some places). The throw pillows were stained (don't know if it was body fluids.....or????) Disgusting! I wonder what the cheaper rooms look like?Housekeeping Staff tried to clean up the room as best they could (but it clearly looks like they hustle one cruise guest after another through..never doing any real cleaning!).Embarkation was good.Food was mediocre at best. Soups were nothing but broth. The salads were nothing but lettuce (unless you ordered a main course salad). The buffet was awful (spread out....food was cold by the time you found all the elements of your breakfast!). I got food poisoning from my first meal on the ship (seafood pasta). Entertainment was good. Costumes in the production shows were gorgeous!Dancing band was wonderful.Spa/Salon education programs were good (and fun).Great services sampler for $50.I'm going back to Princess!
