Much Needed Relaxation and Pampering

Room Type: Inside

This was a much needed vacation, and it lived up to our expectations. Cruises are great for relaxing! We were on the Vision of the Seas. It is a medium size ship, with less amenities than the larger ones, but it was just fine for what we wanted. The service on Royal Caribbean is always wonderful. The food in the Aquarias Dining room was great. The Windjammer had a nice variety of food, however, it was tiring. There weren't many changes from day to day. The entertainment that we went to was fun and family friendly. Not crude. Alcohol is available for those who want it but I never felt forced or bothered by it (we don't drink). The indoor adult pool had a great atmosphere, just wish it had more lounge chairs, they were hard to come by. Looking forward to taking our kids on a cruise next year! Always happy with Royal Caribbean!

Pros: The Service!

Cons: Value of the excursion, and the inappropriate conversation of the massage therapist.

Recommends Vision of the Seas? Yes!

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
We had spent another vacation here, so we decided to do an excursion that was different! Unfortunately it was way overpriced and terribly misrepresented. It was a nice experience, but not what we thought it would be. Bypass the "Eco Island Escape". It is a half acre island, no beach. Small motor boats for fishing. Bathrooms and hammocks. They made us fajitas. Not worth $165 per person. However, Royal Caribbean, after explaining our let down, reimbursed us 20% per person. That was great.
Mazatlan, Mexico
I could sort of take or leave Mazatlan. However we did not do any excursions here either. We did a little shopping and got a massage at Aroma Spa. One hour for $25, very nice massage.
Don't Miss: Aroma Spa massage
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
It is a nice port, and easy to walk around to check things out. The vendors on the sidewalk barter better than those in the flea market. Found a nice restaurant off the beaten path, that had steak and lobster for $15. We did not do any excursions at this port.
