Review SummaryToo much emphasis was put on getting cruisers to buy art and jewelry. Loved our day in Puerto Vallarta in the Rio Cuale/River Cafe/Conchas Chinas area. Wish they would eliminate Cabo with the need for tender boats to go ashore (sentiment was shared with fellow cruisers).
After this cruise, we felt that even as a couple aged 59 and 80, we are not as conservative as most other cruisers (many of the clothes I brought were not conservative enough to wear).
Our upgraded room with it's balcony and great location near elevators is really what saved the cruise for us, enabling us to spend many enjoyable hours in our room when the ship was at sea, reading books from the on- ship library (a luxury we can't find time for at home), dancing in the Viking Lounge on 11. We enjoyed getting to know our late dining table-mates. We didn't find any of the entertainment worth going to, other than Viking Lounge, Schooner Lounge, one Art class.
Food and Dining
Windjammer was closed for cleaning a lot of the time. Dinner in The Aquarius was pretty good, but not what I expected...(I used to be co-owner of a restaurant, so I am spoiled).
Rhapsody of the Seas 2000 had the Coasters, so we are spoiled.
The Viking Lounge on 11 (hard to find) saved the cruise, being the youthful (59 and 80 year old) cruisers we are, we love to dance!!!!
