Good start, poor finish by Deano68

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Couple

Its difficult to say if we would book again with TUI/Marella after this cruise, especially as the first was so good. The show team is the only thing that made it bearable and Phillip (no card no charge) and bartender Mel Francis made the evening to be not long enough. If you complain about anything , take picture to back yourself as the cabin supervisors will call you a liar to cover their backside

A bit down market overall.... by Dalou

Sail Date: /

A bit down market overall. We were in a Grand Suite (8006) on the port side. Cabin was spacious and comfortable with a large balcony. Cabin was kept clean but was incredibly noisy at night, Islands buffet is immediately above and work starts at 3am with banging, crashing and scraping, added to this was the constant slamming of the crew access door in the corridor all night. This resulted in very little sleep. Moving on to the food. We are used to 5 star gourmet restaurants on holiday and were very disappointed by the food on board. The buffet was appalling, 1 star at best. The two main a la carte restaurants (47° and gallery 47) were very average 3 star offerings with all food pre packaged and heated up. We did have one good meal by paying £46 to up grade to the Kora La restaurant, should we have to do this on an alleged all inclusive holiday in order to eat reasonably well? The entertainment was, on the whole quite reasonable but I don't understand the cruise ship obsession with Broadway, what would be wrong with something that typifies the music and culture of the area being visited? (Something else that we are used to). The AI drinks package is ok but strangely does not include the cabin mini bar. The saving grace was the itinerary and destinations which were all stunning places. If this is a benchmark for cruising generally then we won't be doing any more.

Could not fault the Ship,... by EssexRuss

Sail Date: /

Could not fault the Ship, Cabin, crew and every member of the staff. What a credit you are to yourself, Tui and your families. Was first cruise now I'm hooked, will be travelling again with Marella next year and the year after... Food fantastic, surf and turf great so was Kora La. The shows were so much better than I expected, almost West end quality... Miss you all on D2...
