Review summary

A great ship for outstanding entertainment, and food. RC is really offering a lot more specialty food but at a extra price. Not a cheap cruise line, they are always advertising extras for$$$.

Food and Dining

Beautiful restaurant overlooking the boardwalk. We had the specialty cocktails, I enjoyed the cosmo the best. They bring out a secret menu, beforehand and then they bring out several appetizers, entrees and desert to share. All food was beautifully presented and there were many unexpected tastes and flavors. I plan to return there again!

Jamie's Italian

Fantastic food and service. We ate there the first night and the restaurant was not busy. The calamari was crispy well seasoned and tender. I ordered pasta with shrimp and lasagna. Both dishes were huge and enough to share for 2 people. The lasagna was very meaty, well seasoned and so flavorful. They brought out 3 desserts to share, all delicious.

Johnny Rockets

A little different then my last cruise, they used to bring fries and onion rings when seated, now everything is ordered separately, charged $9.95 per person, milkshakes are extra$$.Burgers were average.

Hooked Seafood

Lots of great choices, the crab cake was a good size to share with almost all crab and not much breading, captains platter had a lobster tail, salmon and 4 grilled shrimp, could not finish, also they included some cheddar biscuits so yummy.

Onboard Activities

Vitality at Sea Spa

We bought the thermal spa package for a couple $199. There were 8 hot lounge chairs, so relaxing on sore muscles. There is also a tropical shower, sauna, and aromatherapy steam room. The only problem was the lounge chairs were the deck below the gym where you could hear people dropping weights with several loud thuds, not a great setup.

Main Pool

Have to check out towels with cabin number. Most days only one towel station open for a ship with 6000 people, not a great setup. Too bad they need to do this because of towel theft.

The Attic

The comedy show was great, Don’t sit in front because you will be picked on by the comedian. We also went to the “ silent disco”, with everyone getting headphones and dancing to different music channels. Very fun to watch people sing and dance with just headphones on.

Retail Shop

Something new on deck 16, vending machines for drug and sundry items, and suntan products. Also several free charging stations, you can lock your phone in a box with your own private code.

Very disappointed with the photos, which you can view on computer screens. All photos were viewed with logos over the entire photo. Hard to see the real photo. You have to order the photos in advance and come back to pick up after a few hours.

Studio B

1977 ice show, fantastic a must see! There is a surprise start to the show, so cool. Also, went to the Crazy Quest show, another must see, A definitely crazy wild show.

Good show, lots of talented performers. There is a lot of dancing, tight rope walkers and very action packed performance. Best seats are close to top of the arena, to see all the performers.

Service and Staff

All staff very friendly and helpful. The main dining room staff was very quick and efficient we were served our meal in under 50 minutes. Our stateroom attendant Kenia was so friendly and willing to accommodate all our requests.

Ship Quality

We have cruised on several oasis style ships before so they are similar in layout. Loved the common area restrooms where there was a hand scanner to open doors without touching door handles. Also loved the message boards by each hallway with a touch screen to find any current activities.

Cabin / Stateroom

Ocean balcony cabin, very lovely and roomy for 2 people. Most impressed with the queen size bed, and 2 large closets. Also a large dresser with 5 drawers and empty refrigerator too keep cool beverages. The bathroom was the usual closet size for one person, and a cool shower with a tube like glass door. I also liked the door magnet which had one side to show “do not disturb “ and the other side to show you are away and housekeeping knows to clean up your room.

Ship tip

We always book all our shows online in advance, you do not have to attend if you have a conflict but a reservation is good to have to plan your day.

Ports of call

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

Wow, very impressive. Lots of beach lounge chairs with umbrellas for shade. Loved the Oasis lagoon pool with a rubber bottom, so nice to walk on. Fun swim up bar and DJ playing party tunes all day. Easy to get around lots of signs, easy to find restrooms and great food. Very clean and friendly staff.

Cozumel, Mexico

Lots of shopping close to dock. We had a few drinks and appetizers at Senor frogs right on the dock harbor.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

Lots of souvenir shopping. There are several shows by the local native people, and a cool bird sanctuary to see several tropical island birds, good photo op.

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

3 out of 5
Not a great shopping port, take a excursion to see island. Booked the private Maya island trip which is across the bay where the ship is docked. A tiny island with a collection of rescue animals, birds, monkeys, cougar, seals. A beautiful beach and shoreline for swimming snorkeling, a swimming pool with plenty lounge chairs, a large patio area for the island lunch included with the tour.

Very efficient and easy off. No customs papers to complete, no agents to talk to. We always do the self roll off luggage. Before you walk out the new Miami RC terminal, customs takes a photo of your face, then out the door, adios.
