We loved the Symphony and will look to sail on her again.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
From drop off to boarding the ship was less than 15 minutes with the royal app and the new terminal

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Dining rooms were great.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the spa multiple times, the solarium, the gym, and the shows.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Fantastic shows

Children's Programs

Didn't bring our kids

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Our room steward was very good, and the dining room staff was very good as well, other than one night when we were there later and kind of in the back of the dining room - it felt like our waiter had forgotten an entire section of people and took a really long time to finish dinner.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
New ship, and it shows. Very well laid out.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Loved the cabin; not a huge fan of the beds on royal (kind of like sleeping on a board after a while).

Ship tip

Consider staying onboard during one of the port days. The best areas of the ship, like the solarium, are very quiet and peaceful during those days.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

3 out of 5
Meh. It's Miami. But the new terminal A at the port was extremely efficient.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten Did not visit port

Hurricaner Karen forced a change

San Juan, Puerto Rico Did not visit port

Hurricane Karen

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

4 out of 5
Have always like Labadee, but CocoCay is a better island experience.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
From the time we left the ship to the time we had our bags at the curb waiting for our Uber was about 15 minutes or less. Fastest disembarkation we've ever experienced.
