Review summary

Great trip! Booked another Crown Loft Suite on Harmony for next May. Would have loved to done Symphony again for the same week next year, but our same room was almost $4,000 more than Harmony was. We very much enjoyed our sailing Symphony of the Seas. Such a beautiful ship.

The only hiccup in the whole process was the drive into the Terminal A area. The building is beautiful but as part of the road requires cars, vans with luggage trailers and big buses have to basically make a 180 degree turn to the passenger drop off point. Well on May 18th, a large bus broke down while going through this turn, effectively halting all other vehicles from gaining entrance into the terminal drop off area for approximately 20 minutes. It took some time but a different bus was actually able to get behind the disabled bus and push it around the bend which alleviated the problem. Once we got dropped off, it took no more than 10 minutes to get cleared to enter the ship. All RCL employees that we interacted with were very professional. Our rooms ion deck 17 we’re ready at 1 pm as had been promised. Overall an outstanding experience.

Food and Dining

Took the deluxe drink package. I actually saved money (LOL). Also had the three night dining package. Ate at 150, Hooked and Chops. All were very good. For the other four nights we dined at Coastal Kitchen. Each restaurant that we ate in had outstanding table service.

The suite was the perfect size. Chairs, couch and the bed very VERY comfortable The suite attendant and his assistant made out suite look like a staged apartment. It was perfect everyday. Nothing was left to be done. Outstanding service in this area

Railway tour was highly informative.

Would rather have docked at the terminal closer to town. Did the “St. John on your own” tour. Loved it. Didn’t like that we had to be back on the ship by 3:30. Our tour was scheduled for four hours. By the time we got back it was nearly time for the ship to depart. Would have liked to had the time to visit the town to do some shopping. Since the next day was a sea day I didn’t think it would be terrible if we departed at 5:30 or 6 pm. The next stop after the sea day was Coco Cay so we probably could have made up the time had we stayed in St Thomas a little longer.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

Very enjoyable. Just hung out at Chill Beach and then the Oasis pool. Food was pretty good and there were a ton of employees waiting on all the passengers.

The suite life is the way to go. Deck 17 to our charter bus in less than 10 minutes. RCL has it truly figured out.

So why get a suite and pay the extra thousand or so? I’m not on a ship to stay in the room and probably everyone else would agree. So why?
