Review summary

Although this ship carries 6,000 passengers, we always found a nice quiet place to sit under the trees on the Central Park deck

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was very similar to Harmony and Oasis. Main dining room service was great but selection was nothing new. Windjammer was full at peak times as expected but had no problem finding a table.

Solarium Bistro

4 out of 5

Selection is limited but not usually as crowded as Windjammer. Several groups ignored the signs that indicated this space was for those over 16

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There seemed to be plenty of deck chairs but they were packed so tight they were touching and made it hard to get in and out. I did notice the kids pool had to be drained and cleaned one afternoon - that’s usually due to parents not following rules about kids in diapers.

We made reservations as suggested and was able to get the seats we wanted. Hairspray was great and the opening for the ice show was outstanding and very innovative. The closing was good too but I liked the opening better. They said the opening/closing cost over $1 million for about 3 minutes

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
This was a new ship and while some service staff had years of experience there were some that just started with this ship. Service was still good

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Layout and design was the same as other Oaisis class - very well thought out but no major changes from other similar ships. The traveling piano player was a nice add. We did miss the jumping colored water feature at the base of the Rising Tide bar. There were several fold dusting and dusting the common areas.

Cabin / Stateroom

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

Just boarded the ship here - the facility is brand new just for this ship

Basseterre, St. Kitts

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas Did not visit port

We enjoyed a day on the ship and did not visit this port. We have visited before

Nassau, Bahamas

There were 5 other ships docked here at the same time. The streets around the port were overwhelmed and chaotic. We have been here several times before so no need for a tour - they were packed too. We would stay on ship next time. Shop workers were aggressive in the streets but about the same as other visits so no surprise there

5 out of 5
Very smooth - the face recognition technology worked great
