The Royal app will show you what your expenses are. Whatever is charged or whatever you spend, you can view it on the app. Make sure you both download that now before you board. It will have everything you need.

Also, watching a (Youtube) cruise ship tour video of the ship you will be sailing on will help you know what is included and what is extra. The more research you do beforehand, the more knowledgeable you will be. If anything, check with guest services for any questions about what is included. On Day 2, head to Guest Services and pay off the gratuities for the duration of your sailing.

All suggestions were good. It just depends on how much money you want to spend on this one trip. I was just on Symphony in April and I found all complimentary restaurants to be very good. Personally, I found no need to eat at specialty restaurants (saving considerable money).

Specialty dining, spa treatments, Starbucks, anything bought in the stores are extra. Along with laundry. There may be more I just can't think of them now. :)

I recommend the Ultimate Dining Package as it gives you more options at specialty dining venues which are much better quality food than the Main Dining Room/Windjammer, which are both included in your cruise fare. Since its your 1st cruise, maybe even book the 3 Night Dining Package and choose 3 Specialty Dining options for your cruise week. Then you can compare.

gratuities. Up to $18 a day per person. You can pay in advance just call your travel agent or Royal. Last 2 cruises $0 owed at end. Pre pay whatever you can even specialty dining or spa.

Go to the Royal Caribbean App. and it will list what is complimentary and what isn't. Having the ultimate drink package will allow you to drink to with no worries and there are plenty complimentary eateries. You'll not run up a large tab. Just ENJOY!!!

While on the cruise you’ll be able to look on your TV every day to see your account…..if you’d like you can put cash on the room….any questions you’ll be able to address on a daily basis

Since its your 1st cruise, if you are able to afford it, purchase the 3 night dining package and try 3 specialty restaurants and compare it to the experience/quality of the free Windjammer/Main Dining Room. It will give you an idea of everything the dining onboard has to offer. Oh, and Room Service has a daily charge of 8 bucks/day if u want to order room service.

For drinks, you are welcome to whatever drinks you want. Order whatever you want and its yours. If you do the unlimited dining package, you can eat anywhere you like and order whatever you want. If you dont do any dining package, and eat somewhere NOT complimentary, you will have to pay.

thank you everyone for your awesome answers. we purchased the drink package so does that mean we just walk up to whichever drink area and they just hand it you? oh and we pre-paid all gratuities ahead of time. so we will be able to just get food or drink whenever without worry of payment? so cool. how about Rokm Service, is that included too or an extra cost? thanks again.

You were given bad information as Starbucks purchased at the Promenade Cafe is included. Starbucks purchased at the Starbucks kiosk is an extra charge beverage. Enjoy.
