The ship is 20 years old and is not showing its age gracefully. While the public areas are attractive\, based on our stateroom\, much more care needs to be given to rooms on the ship. Service is excellent. Entertainment is unsophisticated as are lectures and presentations.
Food and Dining

There was an excellent choice food\, including vegetarian\, that was quite important to us. Both the main dining room and specialty restaurant (Pinnacle) were attractive and pleasant. The Lido was noisy and sometimes too crowded.

While there was plenty of entertainment and other activities\, there were too unsophisticated for our tastes. The tours\, in many cases\, were boring. Often\, the guides were more interested in generating commissions from our purchases than giving us an interesting experience.
Service and Staff

A warm friendly crew led by a captain with a resounding deep voice and a wonderful sense of humor. The quality of service both of our room stewards and the wait staff in restaurants was excellent.

We enjoyed the size of the ship. It had enough passengers to provide all the services that were necessary. However\, with 20 years at sea\, certain repairs should have taken place long before this guest noticed the need for them.
Cabin / Stateroom

We were very unhappy with our deluxe veranda stateroom. it was below ping pong tables and a storage area on the Lido deck. Using it for late sleeping and afternoon naps was a joke. There were a half-dozen physical defects in the room that had to be repaired. Others\, could not be. A search of comments on the ship showed that the problem of noise from floors above some staterooms were not unique to us.
