Cruise to Alaska in June

Sail Date: June 02, 2013

Reviewed: 3 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

Mostly a good cruise. Comfortable room. Good food. Pleasant dining companions.
Good staff. Liked the excursions.
Major negative - our stateroom flooded when a pipe burst somewhere down the line. We were out of our stateroom for a 1 1/2 days.
Ship Quality
Twenty years is old for a cruise ship. The Statendam is wearing out.
Food and Dining
Good selection. Well prepared.

Onboard Activities
Additional activities possible. For example, there was unhosted bridge. Why not unhosted chesss and shuffleboard?
Destinations and Excursions
I took three excursions and enjoyed them all.
