Overall the ship was clean and just big enough to not notice the hundreds of people on board.

Food and Dining

The food was great as well as the selection. The service on the other hand seemed slow. We did cruise earlier in the season which may have been reason for them running out of ketchup. No Tea service was even offered at any point of the cruise either.

Not many options for kids to attend. But this is understandable since the ship had maybe 30 kids aboard.

Children's Programs

Kept the boys entertained!

Service and Staff

Our Stateroom service was top notch. Every night the kids looked forward to what creature the staff would create out of towels (crab, lobster, sea shell etc...) that was hidden for the kids to find.

Ship Quality

The ship has been updated. I like the addition of technology on board.

Cabin / Stateroom

We were impressed that our family of 4. 2 boys 8 and 4 had no problem sleeping comfortably in the inside cabin stateroom. Recommended on the cruise to Alaska because the sun does not go down.

We enjoyed walking around Juneau, especially once we realized that the kids did not have to come with us. We did our walking then picked up the kids to go up the tram! This is well worth paying for especially on great weather days.
Don't Miss: Tram!

We actually decided to catch a fast ferry to Skagway. Which was very Disney with the people dressing up and the soooooo many jewelry shops (YIKES). I recommend not bringing the kids on this trip. Leave them on the boat they will have more fun that walking and walking.
Don't Miss: Your Boat! Going to Skagway was not worth it.

We just followed the signs for the recommended sights walked up the many stairs to the top where the convention center was. Nothing really to see. We heard from another family that catching the bus around town was fun. We also wanted to ride the duck boat but it was sold out.
Don't Miss: Register early for the duck boat. We missed out.

Pros: Kids program

Cons: Variety of events

Recommends Statendam? Yes!
