GREAT CRUISE

Sail Date: November 01, 2009

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

it was easy to get around esp after 28 days, everyone was really nice to us.. there was a smell tho before entering the lido dinning room, yuck.. room temps were bad for most ours was ok. alot of people complained there rooms were sooo hot, one couple was sick from it.. please have lizabeth change what she says on the pa system too.. it drove about 40 people that we talked to crazy and it wasnt only the canadians like someone said either.. the rooms were nice and always clean,, good thing it is getting docked tho it does need alot of work for being such an old dinning room

Pros: the people expecially the stewards, like Harry, on floor 5 was teriffic, so was Phillip on the lido deck, always made sure we had something to drink and always asked us if we needed anything at all .

Cons: 22 a day per couple for tips.. then why does it cost a service charge when u buy a drink or a coke?? shouldnt that be included???also lizabeth drove alot of us crazy with the dumb things and the way she talked ov

Recommends Statendam? No.

Ship Quality
the ship was very clean and accesibil.. it was hard for the handicap people tho to get off and on the ship
Food and Dining
the food was good, but they should have more down to earth things for people that dont like fancy foods,, they did do a great job tho
Cabin / Stateroom
our room was big and comfortable esp the beds i wanted to take ours home lol
Entertainment
the shows were great, but the guy that sang supposedly like Neil Diamond sucked,, half the people left
Service and Staff
the best people were Phillip on Lido, Harry on 5, and Loren in the Library,, she sure would make a great cruise directer.. she has a better personality and alot better voice, not to say her figure is great too, and shes alot of fun
