Review Summary

Just completed a 15day Hawaiian cruise aboard the Star. First rate entertainment, onboard lectures during sea days were great (especially Tiki Dave and wife Leialoha), Capt M Tuvo was personable and visible throughout the cruise. Excursions were well organized with professional and knowledgeable guides. Couldn't get to the USS Arizona Memorial because of weather. But they warn you of that ahead of time. Still saw it at a distance. Food was excellent. Horizon Court always had a variety of food and healthy choices. Crown Grill and Sabatinis are our favs. The Anytime and Traditional dining venues can get noisy and you may have to wait for a seat if you don't want to share so seating is not always optimal. But food always good. Movie Under the Stars (weather permitting) always a treat! We had a minor leak in our cabin which was fixed immediately and followed up with a phone call from guest services and complementary chocolate covered strawberries delivered to our cabin to compensate us for the inconvenience. Bravo Princess. This is our 10th Princess cruise and we have another booked for the Fall. We always debrief after a cruise, listing the do's and dont's to our preferences. These are huge ships carrying thousands of people and in our opinion, Princess does a grand job. We are sometimes confounded by the 1 star ratings. Too bad. Cruising is not for everyone but we have found if you remain flexible and show common courtesy to the staff things go a lot more smoothly. Aloha! 🌴
