Excellent Cruise and Friendly Staff

Sail Date: September 01, 2012

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

Every aspect of this cruise, from the food to the entertainment, was far superior to my past experiences with Carnival. I'll undoubtedly sail with Princess again in the future.

Pros: Ports of Call, Anytime Dining, Specialty Dining (Crown Grill)

Cons: Elderly clientele, sea days, limited time at ports

Recommends Star Princess? Yes!

Cabin / Stateroom
Cabins are slightly outdated, but perfectly clean and sizable.
Ship Quality
Clean, reasonably appointed, and easy to navigate.
Food and Dining
Among the better that I've experienced on a cruise. The specialty dining (Crown Grill) is well wether the additional $25 cover charge.
Service and Staff
Incredibly friendly and eager to please.
Some of the entertainment was better than others. The nightly shows were quite good, as was the piano bar entertainer, Eric Stone. The comics were underwhelming since they predominately catered to the tastes of the elderly clientele.
Children's Programs
They weren't many children on the ship, but the staff were present and eager to engage those who were.
