We were cruising the Western Caribbean on the Star Princess. We went shopping with the shopping desk representative at House of Diamonds in Ocho Rios. The shopping rep recommended a diamond we could have made into a ring - you'd pay much more in the states, she said. We hesitated, she said, buy it, bring it home and have it appraised, and don't worry, there's a guaranteed, "no questions asked", 30 day return policy. So we bought the stone and brought it home to be appraised. It was appraised, twice, at $2000 less than we paid for it. Here we are, months later, still trying to get someone, Princess or the House of Diamonds, to honor the guarantee. It looks like a lost cause. We can not recommend Princess in any way.

Cons: Reusal to honor guarantee

Recommends Star Princess? No.
