Review summary

The Splendour of the Seas was outstanding. The ship size was one we are very comfortable with. We are not into the mega ships coming online. The public areas were well maintained and our junior suite was what we expected.

Ports of call

Santorini, Greece

Beautiful town, yet extremely busy w/ five cruise ships. We recommend the donkey ride up (5 euros) and cable car down (four euros). Many shops to choose from. We took cab to Oui (15 euros) early to leave the congestion. Oui was outstanding and had lunch. Returned to Santorini (much less congestion) and wandered around to shop.
Don't Miss: Oui

Corfu, Greece

Beautiful "european" town. Wonderful shops and had lunch with our dining table friends. We did not take tour in Corfu, just walked the town.
Don't Miss: Strolling the city.

Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey

We took the Best of Ephesus tour for 8 hours. Fabulous. Sites were outstanding, walking part not difficult and tour guide Sara was excellent. Lunch was delicious. The rug tour was great and we purchased two rugs!!
Don't Miss: Virgin Mary site!!

Dubrovnik, Croatia

The Old Town was nice, walking the wall was wonderful. The shops within the city were typical tourist items. We did not take a tour, so we were unable to note the country side of life.
Don't Miss: Next time we would schedule a tour in lieu of Old Town.

Pros: Destinations, cruise staff, ship

Cons: not long enough

Recommends Splendour of the Seas? Yes!
