We were delighted with the value of this cruise. This has been a really cold and snowy winter and we just needed some warm sunshine on our faces. We booked through a last minute website after reading some of the reviews for this cruiseline and ship. We were not dissappointed.
The ship itself is older but attractive and well maintained. I liked the open areas that went from the 4th deck up to the 8th deck. It created a real central destination and plenty of places to sit and relax and talk.
The cabin was standard oceanview but the new beds were fabulous! So comfortable we slept way more than we should have. They provided a pack n play for our 10 month old baby to sleep in. That was about the only accommodation they made for the baby. There is no babysitting service for children under 1 year, there are no programs that don't require a parent to accompany the child under 2-3 years (child must be fully toilet trained) but the kicker was that they won't allow babies in the pool, period. Company policy non-negotiable.
This meant that we had to have the baby with us 24 x 7 - on formal night in the dining room, at the show, on excursions. But - the one place the baby loves to play - the pool - that we could not enjoy. Luckily we have a very good baby otherwise it would have been a nightmare.
While I am not sure if the other cruiselines have the same policy, I would not recommend this cruiseline for anyone with children under 3 yrs.
