A wonderful winter get-away

Sail Date: January 20, 2007

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Room Type: Balcony

We decided to go on a cruise from Galveston while watching a portion of the Alamo Bowl game on television. Within 3 hours, we had reservations on the ship as well as room reservations in Galveston and San Antonio. The boarding procedure was the easiest that we have had on 9 different cruises. Our room was comfortable with a balcony, the entertainment was outstanding, all of the staff from entry to our final departure were very friendly, and the food seemed to be never ending. We had sailed on this ship before in the Baltic and it is just the right size for us. We plan to take a winter cruise every year. The ship is designed for being as active, or inactive, as you care to be.

Pros: The ease of boarding and the friendliness of the staff.

Cons: Having to leave the new friends that we made on the ship.

This is a new port and we wanted to see it now. We had been to Cancun when it first became a tourist destination and we wanted to see Costa Maya while it is also a new tourist destination.
