We found RCI Sovereign of the Seas to be a very nice ship with helpful staff and wonderful food options. Our rooms were clean and neat and requests were handled promptly. Meals were served in healthy portions and not wasteful. We found that the second dining seating hindered in participation of many evening activities (participation and entertainment shows) Most shows were viewable by young teens, however, there was little else for them to do. In-room movies were fantastic (though we did not go on a cruise to be enticed by on-board movies.)

We took our two young teenagers on this particular cruise because it advertised so many amenities for this age. On the ship, we found minimal game tables and the equipment was broke or unavailable. There was no organized participation events that we could find. The arcade area had no more than 12 games (if that). The climbing wall was scaled more for adults.

The on-board cost of drinks and packages we found to be expensive.

Food and Dining

Second dining time interferred with various shows that were of particular interest.

Poor options for young and mid-teens.

Children's Programs

Appeared like a good program for very young, but from about age 9 up to 18 there was little to none.

Service and Staff

Staff was great, but not above and beyond.

Cabin / Stateroom

Room was clean and well kept, but very small. We got two rooms for the four of us (thank goodness) and can't imagine a family of four sharing a room for four nights.

Most must sees, in our opinion, are in walking distance (other than Paradise Island). The fort, tower, and straw market and shopping.
Don't Miss: A trip to Atlantis (Paradise Island).

Not too crowded. Food provided was excellent though you had to be there when it was served or you'd miss out. Unclear as to how long meals were served. Snorkeling was fun. Extra activities were a bit overpriced.

Pros: Food

Cons: Amenities offered to tweens and teens
