My first cruise

Sail Date: February 23, 2007

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

This was my first cruise so I have nothing to compare it to. The ship was sparkling clean. It was an older ship and it looked great. I was a little disappointed that the pool water on the ship was freezing, almost no one used it. The hot tub was not very hot. Our room was an interior room and I thought it was great. The staff on the ship was wonderful. I loved the towel animals! The food was great. The late night buffet was just ok, nothing spectacular. The dining room waiter (Suad) we had was absolutely great, full of personality and fun.The excusion to Breezes was disappointing, we chose this because of the water activities, it was windy that day so we couldn't use anything, we did not want to sit by the pool and drink (we could have done that on the ship for free) so we paid to take a taxi back to the ship. Big disappointment! We love Coco Cay, by far this was the best day, alot of fun

Pros: The omelet station, the waiter at the formal dinner. Most staff on the ship were pleasant and helpful

Cons: The pool was freezing and the hot tub was luke warm, the excursion to Breezes was disappointing

Recommends Sovereign of the Seas (RETIRED)? Yes!

Cococay (Cruiseline's Private Island)
We had a great time here. What a beautiful Island. We rented Jet skis , it was quite choppy on the ocean, but my husband loved it. The food was good, you could snorkle, or use a floating mat and just float.By far this was the best day
Don't Miss: Be careful on JetSkis if you arent looking for a thrill. I recommend grabbing a Bahama Mama and enjoying the beach
Nassau, Bahamas
Nassau was a little dirty not a great place,We went to Breezes thinking they would have activities, all water activities were cancelled due to windy conditions. This was disappointing unless you just wanted to sit by the pool and drink( which you could do on the ship without the added cost) The staff there was not overly nice or accomidating .
Don't Miss: We ended up taking a taxi to the Atlantis hotel and casino. This was something to see, they have an aquarium that it interesting
