A decent cruise

Room Type: Inside

The ship needed some updates, but was still in good shape. The food and wait staff was excellent. We loved the casino and spent a lot of time and money there. My only major complaint was being awakened by the maid service every morning before 8 am. We could hear them rolling their carts up and down the hallway and opening and closing doors. They were very loud and our room just happened to face 2 hallways. It would be more pleasant if the maid service would not start cleaning the rooms until after 10 am so that people who enjoy sleeping late on vacation can. The sunday scuba diving excursion started too early. They wanted us to meet at 7:45am, so we skipped out on that one. We dove with 5 other people on the cruise on Saturday and they skipped the sunday dive as well, due to the early meeting time. Most people like to sleep in on vacation and would enjoy later excursion times.

Pros: The food and food service

Cons: Getting woken up by cleaning personel every morning before 8 am. I like to sleep in on vacations and several other people on our cruise complained about the same thing. It would be a good idea to have the maid service start later in the morning, around 10:00 would be a good time.

Recommends Sovereign of the Seas (RETIRED)? Yes!

Nassau, Bahamas
We went scuba diving at Bahama mamma, which is a wreck that has carribean reef sharks. It was an awesome experience. Stuart cove rushed us through both of our dives, each lasted 30 minutes or less, which was disappointing.
Don't Miss: Diving Bahama mamma
Cococay (Cruiseline's Private Island)
We would have went scuba diving if the meeting time had been later in the moringin. 7:45 am is way too early.
Don't Miss: Snorkle
