A Little Disappointed

Sail Date: October 09, 2006

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Inside

The Sovereign of the Seas is a beautiful ship. It was extremely clean as they were worried about some flu that is going around. They kept playing the video telling you to wash your hands and asking you if you had any gastro intestinal illness to report. If you have sailed R.C. before then the ships layout will seem familiar to you. The new Ben & Jerry's and Seattle's Best Coffee Shop made it seem a little commercial though. Overall it was lovely with plenty to do.

Pros: The Housecleaning staff was Excellent and the activities were great

Cons: A lot of unattended children

Nassau, Bahamas
If you are shopping for souvenirs, this is the place to do it. The straw market has tons of cheap trinkets to take home at much lower price than Cococay.
Cococay (Cruiseline's Private Island)
It is a beautiful island. I don't recommend the shore excursions as I think the real purpose of this island is relaxing and enjoying the beach. Also save the shopping because the same items are cheaper in Nassau.
