We recently sailed on the Soveriegnof the Seas for the first time, and all I can say is "Wow!". We knew the ship had been refurbished and stretched to make it larger, but we had no idea what to expect. New restaurants, a fantastic new pool area and a new nightclub made this cruise feel like we were on a brand new ship. We really like Royal Caribbean's style, service, and innovative ships, and the new Soveriegn did not disappoint. ,the restaurant is beautiful and cozy, the service was even better than the already great service the dining room staff usually delivers, and the steaks and chops were outstanding, comparable to any great steak house. The Windjammer buffet really isn't a "buffet" anymore, now it's like a cool marketplace/food court with many more choices, stations you can approach from all sides (so no endless line!). Very wide-open and airy feeling, a huge step up from the typical ship buffet. We loved all the nightlife options. The shows were great but we really enjoyed the new latin club, Boleros, it. Felt like a totally different night out, every single night. The new Seattle's Best coffee shop and the new Ben and Jerry's didn't hurt, either! The new ship features are most apparent on the pool deck, truly one of the most beautiful we've ever seen. Lots of new storage elements have been aded, easy to unpack and fell like there was a place for everything. Overall we have to say the ship was really impressive, the staff was wonderful as always, and even if you've sailed on Soveriegn before, she's worth a second look

Pros: crew freindliness

Cons: too short
