MY WIFE AND I HAVE BEEN ON DOZENS AND DOZENS OF CRUISES THROUGHOUT THE WORLD. IN ADDITION, WE HAVE TRAVELED EXTENSIVELY WORLDWIDE AND HAVE STAYED AT MANY SO CALLED TOP OF THE LINE RESORTS AND HOTELS, SO THAT I BELIEVE THIS REVIEW IS BASED ON EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE. FIRST OF ALL, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS ALTHOUGH BEING 13 YEARS OLD SHINES AND DRIPS WITH CLASS AND ELEGANCE.THE PUBLIC AREAS FOR THE MOST PART ARE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION AND WELL MAINTAINED.THE FOOD ALTHOUGH NOT GOURMET IS ABOVE AVERAGE, ESPECIALLY DESSERTS, WHICH ARE AS GOOD AS ANY CRUISE LINE OR SHIP AT SEA. THE ENTERTAINMENT IS FIRST RATE. THERE ARE MANY BARS AND LOUNGES OFFERING DIVERSE ACTIVITIES UNTIL LATE AT NITE. THE CHILDRENS PROGRAM IS EXTENSIVE, WELL RUN AND WILL KEEP YOUR KIDS BUSY UNTIL THE WEE HOURS. SERVICE IS REFINED AND ATTENTIVE. THE STAFF ON ROYAL CARIBBEAN SHIPS GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO MAKE GUESTS FEEL IMPORTANT AND IT SHOWS. THE MAJOR DRAWBACK ON THIS PARTICULAR SHIP IS THE CABIN'S SIZE, VERY SMALL AND ALTHOUGH ATTRACTIVE,VERY BASIC INTERIOR. NO MATTER HOW MANY SHIPS OR DIFFERENT LINES YOU CRUISE ON, OCCASIONAL TRAVELERS AS WELL AS EXPERIENCED ONES WILL ALWAYS FIND SOME FLAWS TO TALK ABOUT, HOWEVER FROM MY TRAVELS, I HAVE BEEN ON ROYAL CARIBBEAN MANY TIMES, AND CONSISTENTLY THEIR SHIPS PROVIDE A QUALITY FIRST CLASS PRODUCT AT A REASONABLE PRICE.
