We just got back from a 3 day trip. We had a GREAT time! The crew did a wonderful job of keeping most passengers happy. This ship is 12 years old and beginning to show her age and the cabins are quite small....but the experience was still very nice. We were quite impressed with the dining service. We had steaks that were as good as any nice restaurant. The were cooked as ordered and arrived piping hot! We all marvelled at the fact that they can serve so many people at one time and do it correctly! Our cabin steward was great! He was very personable and efficient! Our cabin was neat and clean at all times. We were on board the weekend of 12/08//00. The weather was a bit chilly and a little rainy, but that just gave us more time for reading and relaxing--which was our main objective. I think the pool area would be awfully small on a lovely day when a lot of people would want to use it. But there are many many areas to sunbathe all over the ship. If you like to try different drinks---try the BBC (bananas, Baileys, cream) VERY GOOD!I would definitely recommend the Sovereign for a 3 day get away....but keep in mind that it is NOT a new ship...and keep an open mind--enjoy the good stuff and don't sweat the small stuff!
