First-time Fantastic Cruise!

Sail Date: October 15, 2007

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

The ship was so amazingly clean! The employees seemed to have such comraderie and appeared to be "family". The service and atmosphere was truly remarkable. We got our monies worth from the shows and entertainment!

Pros: Fine dining dinner and shows were top-notch!

Cons: Getting through customs the last day was no fun!

Recommends Sovereign of the Seas (RETIRED)? Yes!

Cabin / Stateroom
If the ship weren't full, we would have chosen the center area of the ship to prevent sea sickness. Nonetheless, Carmen made our stay very enjoyable. We looked forward to seeing exotic creatures in our stateroom each night.
Entertainment
WIth a late dinner option, there were some things we couldn't get to. But the quality of what we saw, great!
Ship Quality
Not even the military keeps such an immaculate ship.
Food and Dining
Our waiter, Jim, from South Africa, was so accomodating. Not only did he ensure our wonderful dining experience, he gave us helpful pointers for the next day! Amazing service!
Service and Staff
Aaron, Carmen, and Jim were the best!
Cococay (Cruiseline's Private Island)
This was a disappointment to us. Snorkeling was not very exciting, not much to see. Rained on our kayak experience. Food was not good!
Nassau, Bahamas
If I had known upfront that the shops in town close at 5pm, I would have scheduled my day differently. I wanted to see more of Nassau. We chose an excursion to Breezes, a let-down, and then didn't have time to get cleaned up and visit the shops. The bus driver was interesting.
