The Perfect Vacation

Sail Date: August 13, 2007

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

The ship was great! Clean, easy to get around without using the elevators. Many places to eat, relax and participate in activities. Only one adult pool.

Pros: Quality of service from the staff, always something to do, beautiful scenery, great food

Cons: Price of the "extras"

Recommends Sovereign of the Seas (RETIRED)? Yes!

Ship Quality
Entertainment
Comedians, shows, casinos, bingo, health seminars....the list goes on and on. Each day we received a "Cruise Compass" that mapped out the days activities - everything from meals to dancing.
Food and Dining
Cabin / Stateroom
The room was small, but had a desk/vanity, separtate room with toilet, sink and shower, bed was a nice size for 2 adults and was comfortable! Our room was at the begining of the hall, so it was a nice location! Very clean and very tasefully decorated.
Service and Staff
Hands down, this was the best service I've ever received on a vacation!
Cococay (Cruiseline's Private Island)
This was a private beach with plenty of sunbathing opportunities, watersports, etc. The snorkleing was offshore, so it was only "okay." The staff was friendly and accommodating. It was like a private theme park!
Nassau, Bahamas
Nassau was great. You could really take in the culture of the area. There were a lot of people trying to get you to take their tour - we were skeptical about the authenticity of some of the people, so we recommend going through the cruiseline, just for the sake of having your excursions guaranteed. We didn't go to Atlantis, but wish we had. We would have liked to stay an extra day in Nassau.
Don't Miss: Snorkeling. Beautiful.
