I was impressed with the ship overall. The staterooms are smaller on this ship than our previous ones on a different cruise line. The biggest disappointment on this cruise was not getting to go to Cococay. The sea was too rough to use tender boats. This was suppose to be our 1st stop. They said we would try again at the end of the cruise. It was too rough that day also. We only got off the ship in 1 port and had 3 days at sea. I don't understand why they cannot have a back-up plan in cases like this. Why didn't we visit an alternate port? My teenagers were bored and do not want to cruise again. The cruise line did not offer anything to compensate the guests.

Pros: The food was wonderful.

Cons: One of the two pools was out of order the entire 4 days.

Recommends Sovereign of the Seas (RETIRED)? Yes!

Cabin / Stateroom
We had 3 people in our room. It was very cramped. The bed was comfortable. Ice delivered in the am. Melted by the time we got back to our room. Pool towels provided in the rooms which was nice.
Quality of comedians-not so great. Royal Caribbean singers and dancer good.
Ship Quality
Liked the ships layout. Everything in good location which kept you from walking from one end to the other for dinner and entertainment.
Food and Dining
The variety was good. We only ate in the main dining room one night-captains night. Our seating was at 8:30. We we not served until 10:00pm. The show we wanted to see started at 10:15pm. Many guest had already eaten, had dessert and left, while we were still waiting for the main course. Our table and about 5 others.
Service and Staff
Except for one problem, everyone was nice. My party of 6 adults kept having to correct our bar charges on deck 11. We would order the same thing, but get billed different amounts. If you turned in the previous glass with the next order, your drink would be about $5 less. We had to watch our bills closely each time. At least 2 of us had to fight to get charges removed. This was annoying since you don't want to be looking over your shoulder while on vacation. It wasn't by accident they tried to "clean off the deck table" and take your empty glass away. Sometimes they would argue that you didn't turn in a glass when you ordered. Very annoying.
Nassau, Bahamas
We rented a van taxi and were taken to many sites we wouldn't have been able to see otherwise. This was the highlight of the cruise. Atlantis is amazing.
Don't Miss: Atlantis
