Boring old folks ship

Sail Date: December 01, 2006

Reviewed: 10 years ago

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Oceanview

group of us just returned back on 12/22/06, We all thought the cruise was boring. The ship shuts down at 2a.m. even the night clubs. I think if they had more entertainment/activities the ship would probably be ok. The food in the windjammer had more to offer then the dining room. They did not offer lobster on the formal night. We did enjoy the land activities. Jet ski and the beaches at Coco Cay. We did see one of the shows it was ok and the comedian was funny. The deck party was a joke. Once the DJ stopped the music the band started playing for their own enjoyment. Party was over by 12 midnight. It started at 10:30p.m. Drinks were priced nicely around five dollars the beer was expensive - for a bucket (10) beers was $28.00 for Bud/Coors. Overall I did not enjoy this ship. Once I got home I called customer service told them the problems we had on the ship//they never called back. I will never sail Royal Caribbean again, even if it was a free cruise. I prefer the "FUNSHIPS

Pros: Ports of call Cocoa Beach

Cons: Smell, Food choices in the dining room. Ship shuts down at 2 am

Recommends Sovereign of the Seas (RETIRED) 232? No.

Cabin / Stateroom
Boring. If you are elderly and go to bed before midnight, this is the ship for you.
Ship Quality
Staterooms on floors 2-7 smelled like s*^$. Sickning, the crew act like they don't smell it. If you book this ship get staterooms on the deck 8, so that you don't get sick from the gases. Aweful
Food and Dining
Really no complaint, just the dining room did not have a lot to choose from. I don't eat meat, they only had one fish choice.
Children's Programs
just ok.
Service and Staff
waiters, dining room service and room porter were excellent///customer relations, aweful....complained about the smell and wet carpet they did nothing.
