The Sovereign of the Seas Reigns Again

Sail Date: November 27, 2006

Reviewed: 10 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

This is the second time I have been on this ship. The first time, it seemed old and dated. This time, I watched the documentary while it was dry docked and refurbished, so I had to go on it again! Absolutely Awesome. What once was old, is new again.

Pros: Absolutely everything

Cons: None

Recommends Sovereign of the Seas (RETIRED)? Yes!

Ship Quality
The restrooms are few and far between, but other than that, ...Super
Food and Dining
The ship now had Johnny Rockets, for a small surcharge, and Sorrentos Pizzera, which is pretty good, no fee. It also now has a Coffee Bar, and Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream...Yummy! Dining times were very convienient. I did't eat at the Windjammer too much, just because Johnny Rockets had the best cheeseburgers ever...don't forget about the milkshakes...all you can eat for a small surcharge!
Cabin / Stateroom
Stateroom attendant did leave a dirty cleaning rag in the bathroom.
Service and Staff
Entertainment
Cococay (Cruiseline's Private Island)
Great beach day, the water was cold, but RCCL cant control that.
Nassau, Bahamas
Don't miss the Queens staircase, but dont give in to someone who says that they are "security" Also, watch for peddlers who just "give" you an item. They want money in return. If you dont pay them, they get nasty with you. Also watch for drug activity, some of the people will try to sell you drugs. Starbucks is on the first road as soon as you get out of the welcome area.
