A wonderful cruise

Sail Date: August 21, 2006

Traveled As: Singles/Friends

Room Type: Oceanview

I've cruised this ship on several other occassions and it was as wonderful this time as it was the first time. I took a guest who had never cruised before and she was exstatic! Royal Carribbean Cruise Line is the only way I go. It's always clean and friendly.

Pros: Food

Cons: Profanity of the entertainment by t6he Dueling Pianos

Ship Quality
Everything shines! The public restrooms are plentiful and always clean and stocked. The ship is the right size to actually know where you're at on it by the end of the cruise. Easy acccess to everything once you learn the layout! It's small enough to enjoy without wishing there was more time to find everything you could enjoy but couldn't. Perfect size!
Food and Dining
There are no words to describe the food, the plentifulness of it or the fact that you can order as many entree's as you want at each sitting. It was fantastic! Whenever I sail Soveriegn I always look forward with great anticipation to the escargot! The late dining, 8:30, is always the best to me because I don't have to stop in the middle of anything to dine. I recommend sitting at a table for at least six and up because you'll find that friendliness of the passengers is automatic. Even if you're a "loner", try it....you'll like it!
Cabin / Stateroom
Sure, the size of the stateroom is somewhat small, but hey, how much room do you need to sleep. The bed size is almost a king and comfy, too. The bed matresses have a thick pillow top on them to eliminate the otherwise discomfort one may experience by two matresses being put together. How big a room do you need when the ship is your dining facility, and playroom, and excersise room, and living room?
Service and Staff
The staff is very personable! When you're uncomfortable or displaced, or have a minor matter that needsd their attention, "They Are On It!" They actually feel your discomfort. It's amazing the way they give full attention to you as though "It's All About You!" What more can be said! Truly a "spoiling" experience!
Entertainment
The entertainment is very high quality! Showtime is one thing we look forward to. It's live and family oriented for the most part. The music by the live bands sound as though it's "piped in" from CD. We actually thought it was until the band was introduced! The Soveriegn Of The Seas dancers and singers are fabulous and deserve the best rating! Awesome! And, I really don't like dancing that much. But, when you're on a ship you do things you normally wouldn't do. Take in shows you normally wouldn't take in and you'll be glad you did!
Nassau, Bahamas
Have to see the city of Atlantis! Don't take a paid tour or you'll miss out on a lot! The tours only take you to the front part of Atlantis. It cost $20.00 to $25.00 per person depending on if you negotiate for a lower price. It only costs $4.00 per person if you take a taxi to it and $4.00 to return on a taxi. The people are friendly and informative however you go.
Cococay (Cruiseline's Private Island)
Cococay is a fabulous island. You have to take in the High Speed Jet-ski Tour! Fun! You'll be high speed, too. No kidding! The barbeque put on by the ships chefs on the island is great! The water is beautiful but there's a lot of that sea weed on the floor where you swim and it feels funky. Not something you really want to feel under your feet when swimming. Kind of creepy. Souveniers are plentiful and you can negotiate prices between vendors.
Don't Miss: Jet-ski
