Our cruise was good but hampered by two things: cancellation of both excursions and limited access to some venues (Take Five Jazz Bar & the Vista) due to exclusive use granted to a large group who were on board. We really anticipated the new jazz bar but found it open only to the exclusive group. We managed to get in on our last night and enjoyed it, but felt disappointed that we couldn’t have spent more time there.

We had an overall good time on the cruise. All food was good. Including the buffet and evening dining. We did not eat in the pay restaurants. The staff was attentive and congenial. The coffee was mostly good. Drinks at the bars were well done and not overpriced. Try the MaiTai. Not happy about the $15 corking fee for personal wine. I read a previous review here dated 1/19/2020 which coincided with our dates for our cruise that mentioned Legionnaires disease. It did not clarify where this person acquired it so it leaves one to assume he got it on the boat. I doubt he got it on the Sky Princess. There were no warnings to guests about Illness on our cruise. The boat was taking on new guests shortly after we got off.

We had a great time however, my wife found the mattress to hard in comparison with our other princess cruises.

While the cruise was great, there were some obvious things that could have been better.

Being treated for legionnaires disease I can’t go back to work so this cruise is costing me double what I originally thought or would be

Even though our excursions were cancelled, we still had a fun relaxing time.

Had a decent vacation, learned Princess is probably not going to be our cruise line of choice though for the future.

We were excited for our first Princess Cruise and being on the new ship. Have only done Celebrity previously as a frame of reference. The room, food and entertainment didn’t even come anywhere close to what we’ve experienced with Celebrity. Even being a new ship this ship was dirty with mold and rust in all the corners. The medallion was great for getting into our room and on and off ship but was a nuisance daily where had to keep logging in, journey view was often inaccurate, order now took forever and food was never right. We did not like needing our cell phones on vacation. We only had one production show Rock Opera, which was very disappointing. We made sure to stay positive and try to have a good vacation which we did but our review wouldn’t be honest if we said it was good. It was constant issues the whole time. We even talked to other loyal Princess people on board all who said this has been their worst princess experience and the shows and food on their other ships is extremely better than this one. Maybe we just had a bad first experience with Princess on their worst ship but it was bad enough we won’t be back.

It was relaxing which is what we wanted . We were disappointed that the ship didn't have Crooners or the wheelhouse. That being said the ship was beautiful and we had a great time

There were a few disapointments, but the Sky is a beautiful ship and we had a good time.

Sky Princess is the newest in the royal class ship experience from Princess.

There were some disappointments, but overall we enjoyed our cruise and would try the Sky again if the price is right

Princess is not what it used to be but still an excellent choice

Enjoyed the cruise. Hopefully they are working out the kinks of a new ship and it will continue to get better.

The New Year's cruise on the big, beautiful Sky Princess was an experience we will not forget. Princess knows how the host and delivers in a big way. So much fun!

The was the most amazing cruise I have been on so far. I loved everything about it and I will for sure return soon!!!

It’s not as kids friendly as I was hoping it to be

This ship is no different than any of their other ones. They added the Medallion at a huge expense. The only positive to it is your entry into your cabin. They advertise get a drink anywhere but everytime we tried to use it it wasn't available in that area! Like the theater a hot tub on the side of the ship etc...

Lovely ship with great staff. The food in buffet was seldom hot. Warm at best. Difficult to get a seat in Dinning room. Explained as lots of large groups to sear because of Christmas. Could solve this by opening Dinning room earlier. Families with children would generally want to eat earlier.

Please see earlier comments for areas where I would like to see improvements. The Captain of the Sky was a joy. He actually came to the breakfast buffet on the departure morning and wished us a safe journey home. First class guy, in my view.
