Review summary

14 nights of sun (exceptional for the time of year) and relaxation. Beautiful ship. Friendly staff and crew.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
This was the worst we’ve ever experienced. It was our 14th cruise from Southampton port, and the longest shore-to-ship time we’ve ever had. Princess has done away with the ability to chose an arrival slot, simply saying we had to be at the port between 12.30pm and 3pm. The queue was huge, we then had to sit and wait for our block number to be called before going through security. It was over 1 hour and 30 minutes. Our previous longest shore-to-ship was 30 minutes.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Excellent. We had breakfast in the MDR most mornings, lunch in the buffet and then dinner as traditional late seating in the MDR. Food was very good.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We mainly used the pools and hot tubs and they were great. Sadly, still a lot of seats being saved by/for invisible passengers which I find very annoying.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Watched the late theatre show pretty much every night. All were excellent.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
For the most part, the staff were lovely and friendly. Sadly cut-backs were very obvious in some venues, particularly in relation to bar staff. Fewer staff and more passengers resulted in some long wait times. Not all the time, but it was noticeable.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
She’s a beautiful ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Standard balcony cabin, so on the small side but it suited us. Very clean. No issues with regard to anything in the cabin or bathroom.

Ship tip

Book shore excursions early if you can as these do seem to sell out quick (and for the most part seemed good value)

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Always the worst part of the holiday, and the usual overcrowding issues in baggage reclaim and when waiting for our ore-booked taxi.

We've had the same on Sky with the invisible passenger's but got the pool attendants to remove any item s after 30 minutes the people came a couple of hours later and seen the loungers had been taken and didn't stay lol .
