Review summary

Have sailed twice on Princess- you can get a penthouse suite on Princess and get just as good of service and twice as much room and regular unlimited food. Silver Shadow has great personal service but at the penthouse level on other ships you get the same for far less money.I would recommend Silver Shadow only to someone willing to pay a high price to be alone on a ship.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Cant beat a small ship for embarkation- no lines at all

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food is average but also there isnt much of it except at meal time. you can get room service 24/7 but if you want an ice cream cone at 3 pm you are out of luck.

Ship is older and it shows- they keep it in good shape but it needs to be refurbished

Cabin / Stateroom

Ship tip

This is for people who want lots of personal space - we called it the Ghost ship because you can walk all over and see only a few people.
