Review summary

In general I enjoyed the cruise. Service staff truly was excellent - all of them. Cruise Director was also great, which I found a bit surprising as most we have had on cruises before this seem to be constantly talking on ship's comm about this and that (we have the Cruise Compass and can read, thank you!). Found the entertainment poor for a RCC ship and that was surprising. Also, some of the food was not good, especially the "fresh fish" entries.

RCC has this down to a science. Very impressive!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Found the fish entries dry and not very good. Most of the entries I had in main dining room were quite good. The Windjammer fish was unpalatable. Most other food was good. Really shocked that for that entire 12 day trip to the Caribbean that true Key Lime pie was never served.

Entertainment

The RCC dancers were ok, but really need to get rid of that overtly gay male dancer as he creeped me out (I realize that many male dancers are probably gay and I am fine with that but just do not like it being overtly shoved in my face like that). The musical scores were not good - At times it was hard to discern the popular music that band was playing and sometimes band hit the wrong notes. Sound and lighting guy was not good. Could not hear ventriloquist act at all. Comedy and magician acts were good - need more of this on board that ship.

Had leaks in bathroom that they tried to fix 3 times.

Ship tip

Pick a room mid body or aft on ship as it is a smaller cruise boat.

Seems like we were rushed off the ship pretty fast.
