Great Cruise

Enjoyed the cruise more than I expected. Was never bored or at a loss for things to do. The ship was very nice\, extremely clean and the staff very accommodating. Waiters and assistants made mental notes of your preferences and were willing to accommodate you if at all possible. Our waiter made solid food recommendations nightly based on each persons personal tastes. After 2 nights he knew exactly what each person would or would not care for on the menu. He was never pushy\, merely made the suggestions\, but we soon learned to follow his advice!!!!!!

Pros: Entertainment Staff and Ship Layout

Cons: Food Temperature

Recommends Serenade of the Seas? Yes!

Ship Quality
The ship was very impressive. Nice size\, easy layout and very very clean.
Food and Dining
Food was good but not overly impressive. Did not go to any specialty restaurants. Desserts were lacking in sweetness\, flair and presentation. The food temperature was not always as desired or stated.
Cabin / Stateroom
When we first saw the cabin we thought it was small but once we unpacked and got organized there was plenty of space. It was comfortable and our cabin steward was attentive to every detail.
Service and Staff
Staff was top notch. Remembering names\, greeting you\, asking your permission before entering the cabin\, inquiring as to how you felt if they noticed you ill. Following up on illness to insure nothing major needed to be reported. Always identified themselves on phone calls.
This entertainment staff was wonderful. They included everyone of all ages\, assisted when needed\, encouraged participation without being phony or going overboard. Made for sheer fun by everyone. Lectures by Howard Nichols were informative and entertaining. The surprise hor' derves at some of the shows was a really neat touch. Much more enjoyable than the midnight buffets that ships used to offer.
