Review summary

we loved our cruise on the serenade of the seas! the size of ship was comfortable and not crowded. wonderful weather enabled us to use the pool for the duration of the cruise. balcony with drink package was an added plus.  we really enjoyed the my time dining and it was easy to use.  the dining staff was excellent !!! we loved paola and fabio :)  - the entertainment was interesting and varied.  the ship is beautiful.  the average age level of the cruisers was a little older than us (we are 60), but we met others our age and met many new friends !

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
we didn't do many activities - but we liked the dance lessons

Entertainment

3 out of 5
we really liked the the italian singer from new york, black gal singer was terrific, piano player, the couple who did balance and juggling. the 2 groups in the centrum area were great -- the country guys, and the duo who played more latin music. we didn't like the hypnotist - seemed like no one got hypnotized nor the bee gees

Children's Programs

too many kids movies were offered on the deck screen - this was an older crowd on the boat

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
paolo, our waiter, fabio, asst, waiter, martin -bar attendent, jai - in the centrum bar, verna - room attendant

Cabin / Stateroom

verna was always accomodating and helpful. room was comfortable -- #7642 had a slightly obstructed view (because of lifeboat) which we didn't expect)

Ship tip

loved doing my time dining and enjoyed the quieter atmosphere of the smaller dining room. loved the the gym. loved the size of this ship. the buffet should have been opened later, like till 11pm- we couldn't believe it closed so early -- no place for late coffee and dessert.
