Such a great time!

Sail Date: January 01, 2011

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

This was our third cruise and our first on Royal Caribbean (our first two cruises were on NCL-One week Hawaiian cruise and 10-days on the Mediterranean [both of which were also wonderful!]). Everything on the Serenade of the Seas, including the food, accommodations, entertainment and service was either very good or excellent. Never a boring moment, yet plenty of places and time to relax if so desired! If we must mention one negative anecdote, it was that it took a few hours for our luggage to get to our room upon arrival (we boarded around 1:30pm and our luggage did not arrive until around 5p). However, it was clear the staff did the best that they could to work as quickly as possible considering the volume of luggage to deliver with the resources that they had. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time and would certainly recommend!

Pros: Virtually every aspect of the experience...

Cons: Waiting time for luggage upon arrival...

Recommends Serenade of the Seas? Yes!

Ship Quality
The ship was clean and the decor was nice. The seemed to do a great job considering the number of people everywhere..
Food and Dining
The Windjammer Cafe had a wide assortment of options; certainly more than enough to keep us satisfied for this 6-day cruise. The dinner in the main dining room was very good, as well! The dining staff were excellent.
Cabin / Stateroom
Always clean and comfortable. Our stateroom attendant was great.
Service and Staff
Always friendly and helpful when needed.
Entertainment
The shows were all very good or excellent!
