Serenade of the Seas Cruise Review to Caribbean - Southern
Ship: Serenade of the Seas
Cabin Type: Oceanview

We did a southern carribbean cruise aboard the serenade of the seas. and had an oceanview room. Our shower leaked all over the bathroom floor but it was no big deal as long as we had towels down. LOVED having the oceanview room and the window in our stateroom was notably larger then other boats we've been on. We left from Puerto Rico and had 5 other island stops after that so we were able to overlook the miaintenance issues in our stateroom and on the carpets in many public areas on the ship. Service was excellent and food was okay (except in the dining room where food was actually quite good). I should mention here that the service in the dining room was excellent!!!!
The boat itself I give 4 stars but the cruise ports were 5 stars without a doubt. We loved having a different island every day except one. The cruise director was engaging and definitely interacted more with the passengers then any other ship we've traveled on. Evening entertainment wasn't so great however. There was one show we enjoyed very much but the rest of the evenings were just okay..
Overall it was a great get away and we'd definitely travel aboard the serenade again as long as we had the same number of ports to stop at. Fewer than that and we would have been bored.
Pros: variety of islands; dining room service; cruise director
Cons: maintenance issues on the boat;
