Room Type: Balcony

The Serenade is a nice ship. We've cruised on RCCL before (and other carriers, too.) The 7th floor balconies were nice, but just under our feet was a shiplong "awning" that covered the lifeboats. Unfortunately, that also meant that we could not see the decks below where people would be walking. This actually meant that we could not see straight down to view the water, either.
The mattresses were not up to par with Celebrity. My back still hurts.

Pros: Snorkeling in Tortola

Cons: Shopping in Tortola; Antigua was not a good place to visit

Recommends Serenade of the Seas? Yes!

The Chops Steakhouse was snice.
Cabin / Stateroom
Not that comfortable...
Several things. RCCL needs to keep Zig Zag (a contemporary quartet- absolutely incredible.) But...RCCL needs to make sure that their overall music groups (not including Zig Zag) understand that "louder" is not "better." On the upper pool deck, people were actually wincing in pain when the groups were playing- it was too loud. On the 5th floor, where the customer service desk is, some of the groups were so loud that normal communication with the Customer Service staff was impossible.
