Great Adventure!

Sail Date: April 11, 2009

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

this cruise was wonderful, but the Caribbean is better if you want to snorkle. it was good weather (April) and we had a great experience overall. It would be nice if Princess did a few more activities during the sea days. we felt bored a lot of the time at sea, and found ourselves eating much more than necessary out of boredom. there are no basketball courts on board, even though the website says there are.

Pros: the stops, the food, the activities on the ship

Cons: not enough activities during sea days, sometimes the food seemed kinda boring

Recommends Sapphire Princess? Yes!

Food and Dining
dining times were convenient, except when we didn't make a reservation early in the morning. if we made the reservation too late in the day, we would get such a late dinner time that we'd miss the show.
Entertainment
they could have done a LOT more, even just random activities at the pool during sea days, and after we got back from stops. lots of boring down time.
Ship Quality
ship was very clean, very large, and the crew members were wonderful!
Cabin / Stateroom
some fool had been smoking in our stateroom, and I could not breath in there. they wouldn't switch my room, but our steward cleaned it a bunch for us and made it at least more bearable.
Service and Staff
Mazatlan, Mexico
we had a taxi driver take us around to see everything. go in the "open air" taxis once you get off the ship and you'll save a ton of money. I think it was $25 per person for about 4 hrs of the drivers time.
Don't Miss: sight seeing the city and nice look out points
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
don't snorkel--water is green and murky, much like the SanFrancisco bay. it was a complete waste of money. there is a Walmart within walking distance of the ship and we shopped there for like 3 hours!!
Don't Miss: Walmart
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
very beautiful place. it seemed like snorkeling here might have been good, but we didn't have time to do it. this port was only lame because they only let us stay there till 1PM, and it was the best stop. if you are looking for a cruise find one that gives you a full day in Cabo.
Don't Miss: land's end/ the arch
