Fantastic!

Sail Date: September 16, 2007

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Singles/Friends

Room Type: Oceanview

The ship was spotless - cleaner than most hotels I've stayed at.

Pros: The food, the staff, the shore excursions, the accommodations

Cons: The fact that it had to end!

Recommends Ryndam? Yes!

Ship Quality
The ship's layout was easy to master - after the first day we easily found our way around. Every area was well maintained and there was plenty of room for everyone.
Food and Dining
The food was wonderful - we enjoyed a room service breakfast most mornings that was delivered on time and the orders were always filled accurately. The best meal was at the Pinnacle Grill - the service and the food were out of this world!
Cabin / Stateroom
We had lots of room and it was very easy to move around. Never felt cramped or crowded.
Service and Staff
The staff, from the captain to our room steward, were so friendly and warm - I haven't experienced customer service like that in a long time. It was like we all became friends.
Entertainment
The yoga classes on board were comparable to classes I've taken in any yoga studio. The trivia and bingo were alot of fun too.
Juneau, Alaska
The Mendenhall glacier and Whale Watching excursion were unreal - we saw Orcas and Humpback whales. The ship's crew were knowledgeable and friendly.
Ketchikan, Alaska
We went to the Alaskan Rain Forest Zipline excursion - and I'm so glad we did. Words can't describe how exciting this adventure was, nor can they describe how gorgeous the scenery was.
Skagway, Alaska
Skagway was not my favorite port, perhaps because we did not schedule a shore excursion. The townspeople were not very friendly and the town was a bit depressing overall.
