A Huge Disappointment....

Sail Date: March 01, 2007

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

After several days on the 10 day cruise, we were put on a Code Red status due to illness on this ship. We were told that this was the fourth cruise on this ship with this problem and the crew was exhausted. We were not allowed to use the hot tub, read a book, magazine or touch so much as a salt shaker. The crew had to do everything with gloves on. Get a glass of water, coffee, a salad. Even in the gift shop. The ship docked and was going out again and not telling anybody I would guess. How vulnerable we are.

Pros: The Very Accommodating Crew

Cons: Food

Recommends Ryndam? No.

Food and Dining
We could only eat at 8:30 at night and that could not be changed. Selection of food was below average and food in the Lido was never piping hot.
Ship Quality
Cabin / Stateroom
We had an inside cabin that was very roomy and our cabin steward was the best. All the crew was fabulous. We truly loved our stateroom.
Entertainment
Fewer activities than previous cruises and with the Code Red even doing a puzzle in the library was eliminated. Entertainment was duplicated from another cruise. Piano Bar was very enjoyable.
Service and Staff
Couldn't say enough good about the crew.
