Review summary

We are first time cruisers and we had an amazing time. The staff were above par, all of them! The shopping on the ship was excellent and hard to resist. My husband loved the casino! We loved the shows every night something new. The food was so good and so fancy expensive! My husband had the premium drink package and I had the soda package. We are already looking to book our next cruise....... can't wait to retire and do this all the time!!

Embarkation

Super Easy (much better than flying!)

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
First time cruising took us a sec to learn that seated dining was the way to go, although the buffet was excellent it was more for kids. The food in all areas was excellent and high quality - we got our money's worth in food for sure!!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Loved the adult pool and the relaxing sitting area in the spa even though we didn't do any spa activities.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Loved all of the shows! Went to the small magic show twice trying to learn how he did it lol. The Voice show was great!! and the Singers were amazing!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All of the staff everywhere were excellent!! we loved our room steward he was super nice, the waiters in the sit down dinning room were great at remembering us and very personable.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
This was our first time ever so the layout took us a few seconds to figure out but once we got it down it was great and easy to move around.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We loved our cabin! The bed was very comfy (having the room cleaned 2xday was amazing!!). our suitcases fit perfectly under the bed and the closet was huge!

Ship tip

- Put your empty suitcases under the bed - pack extra hangers that you can throw away afterwards - Don't miss the first night's shows jump right in and go to all the shows you can (we regretted staying in our cabin the first night) - do the sit down dinning and share a table (the food is amazing and you meet different people each time)

Ports of call

we paid $10 for a taxi ride into the shopping and then walked around and bought tons of stuff and had a blast and paid $10 back to the ship after we were exhausted 5hours later

Disembarkation

Again very easy!! Our friends picked us up and even they were surprised at how quickly we were out on the curb waiting...... airports take much longer!

We were on the Ruby a couple of weeks ago and fell in love with cruising! It was our first time, too, and we had an amazing experience.
