Would not go on Princess again!

Room Type: Balcony

We thought with the Ruby Princess being brand new and all that the cruise would be just wonderful. Well to our surprise, the ship was beautiful, but we were not happy with the service. The bartenders could not make a good drink. The cocktail waiters didn't even know what certain drinks were. The waiters in the main dining room were slow, didn't check on you at all after serving. As for the specialty dining rooms, they ran out of food that was on the menu, couldn't accommodate you if you wanted something else other then what they were offering, even though you were paying extra to be there.

The crew staff in the excursions need to check into the excursions alittle better before giving advice. They told us to dress a certain way and that was not how you should have dressed for that excursion.

Nightlife after 12 p.m.... there was non!!!! Would not recommend this to anyone who is young and wants to spend time enjoying each others company late at night listening to a band. All the bands shut down at 12:00.

Not singling out older people, but this would be great for 60 and up. This cruise was made for older people not young.

Pros: The cabin rooms were nice

Cons: The ships entertainment schedule. The entertainment was always going on about the same time. There was no nightlife atter 12:00.

Recommends Ruby Princess? No.

George Town, Grand Cayman
Well we only got to be on the 7-mile beach for about 1/2 hour. The ship called us back to the boat. Thought a storm was coming in. What a shame. The beach seemed pretty. but would probably go on our own next time instead of with tour.
Cozumel, Mexico
We went on the horseback riding and beach day. The horseback riding was excellent. The tour guide was so funny. But you don't really go to the beach. You just ride along the road side of the beach on a horse. They served Mexican food after the horseback riding. That was good.
Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)
This is a beautiful place to visit. It would be wonderful to spend the whole day there in 80 degree weather and take advantage of the beach, but we had 60 degree weather and it was cold.
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
We went on the dune buggy ride.... what a waste of time. All you did was ride in the woods through mud and rocks.
