Medallion Service still needs tweaking causing service to degrade as well as integrity of the billing.
Royal doesn’t disappoint but long standing loyalty may begin to be shared amongst other companies for future cruises.

Arrived around 130 and no lines so walked right on. Medallion system was down but minimal wait was encountred processing manually.

Crown Grille excellent as always and of great value. Concerto food was always hot opposed to the Symphony which had cold food on our first day. Buffet area still is the start of the ship although not quite what we experienced her first year in service. We enjoyed the most amazing, abundant seafood smorgasbord on Valentines Day lunch. The best buffet I have ever had at any price on land.
Onboard Activities

We participated in the Vow Renewal celebration. Although a little unorganized with the initial instructions, the event was a memorable experience that I will never forget. And we now are in the Guinness Book of World Records to boot.
Entertainment
Just enjoyed lounging on the deck chairs and never felt the need to get to any shows.

It's a shame that our cabin steward has to be lumped into this category. We had 5 star service from our cabin steward who was stealth in his performance of his duties making sure we had clean accommodations with no intrusion as well as constant ice in our room.
Crown Grille was very nice but 1 Star service as well. Service in the Concerto was outstanding as was the Allegro who went above board in celebrating my daughter's birthday dinner. NEWS FLASH!! The birthday cake that you can order is beyond fabulous and a great bargain. Don't miss the opportunity.
Had accounting issues and were very disappointed with the handling of our account and concern over misapplied charges. The Medallion system has some tweaking to do as it appears to just be creating delays in service opposed to being what is promoted.

Cabin / Stateroom

Outstanding. Also understand the warnings about being careful how far aft you go with the Sky Walk being overhead. Our cabin was fine but wouldn't want to be much farther aft.
Smallish balcony, room was very clean, comfortable main bed as well as pull out bed and accommodated 3 of us very comfortably.
Ship tip
The Royal is a beutiful ship and in keeping with the Princess no gimmicky style of cruising. The Medallion service is more bother than value. I will be avoiding Medallion serviced cruises to give Princess time to iron out the bugs.
Glad you had a good time, but sorry you didn't enjoy Medallion. I've done 3 Medallion Cruises and loved the ease of the system. Our last Cruise was over the Holidays, and I sorely missed the medallion and some of the perks, such as locating people. I also wished I didn't have to always have a place for the card, as I wear the medallion on my wrist. But choices are what makes cruising so good :)
