Review summary

We enjoyed the itinerary very much, as it was a good mix of ports and scenery. Having 2 sea days at the end was a nice way to relax before getting back to reality. The staff was excellent and the food delicious!  We felt that the layout of the Royal Princess was easy to navigate and everything was well marked.  Certainly this cruise has our recommendations.

The cabin was a standard balcony cabin, in a convenient location. My only complaint would be that the life boats were directly below the balcony. There was no obstruction out to sea, just not a pretty sight straight down.

Ship tip

Many times the elevators would pass your floor without stopping - we found that during heavy use times it was better to go "up" to go "down" or visa versa, just to get a spot on the elevator.

I've found that if going down, it is usually easier just to take the stairs. Going up, though, it may be easier just to get on the elevator regardless of which direction it is going. It will eventually go where you want it to.
