Mediterranean Anniversary Cruise

Sail Date: July 01, 2013

Reviewed: 3 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The ship is a luxury floating hotel. There are lots of things to do and in twelve days we could not visit every restaurant on board. The service was outstanding and the ship is super clean. Lots of emphasis in sanitation.

Pros: There is a lot to do. The live music was excellent\, in particular the special international music concert premier.

Cons: Lacking first day orientation / presentation. The ship is gigantic and you get lost easily during the first few days trying to find out places. The SPA services and products are too expensive.

Recommends Royal Princess? Yes!

Ship Quality
Spanking new. The only problem is that the internet connections are very\, very slow and that also translates into higher costs because you pay by the minute and the satellite communicates at ~half speed or lower. Suggestion: relax completely and forget about your email.
Food and Dining
It was difficult to get reservations at the premium restaurants like the Crown Grille.

The price of drinks and wines is very reasonable and they save your wine bottle for the next day\, if you can't finish it. My wife drinks very little and I was able to order and save half a bottle of wine for the next day!
Cabin / Stateroom
They keep the rooms very clean. The rooms are spacious (for a boat) and the balconies are big.
Service and Staff
Katherine at Sabatini's is an excellent waitress. All employees are friendly and seem as if they are having lots of fun in their new ship. Captain Tony was very approachable.
Entertainment
The entertainment is heavily oriented toward music: musicals and live music everywhere almost all day. We love music\, thus\, we loved the entertainment. I suggest you request Juan Hermida\, the pianist of Orphea\, to play a tango for you. This is an excellent.
