December 2014 cruise

Sail Date: December 09, 2014

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

The cruise was nice as usual.  Everything thing first class as with all Princess Cruises.  The entertainment was not very good.  There was almost no place to dance in the evening unless you would like to have three floors of people watching you and still no real place to dance after 10pm with live music.  I would give the main production shops a C mostly because one of the lead singers was very poor.  Food in the dining room in the even was EXCELLENT as was the service.  My wife and I felt the cruise was geared to a very old group (we are 65) with very little activities. We will continue to go on Princess but not on the Royal Princess.  We have been on over 15 ships in the past so we know a little about what we think.

Ship Quality
Very large ship with many small areas
Food and Dining
Dinning room in the evening was EXCELLENT
Service and Staff
Waiter Jovy Garcia and Jr. Waiter Maurice Pong are EXCELLENT
Production shows a C - other guest shows a B
Onboard Activities
activities were very limited on ship
Destinations and Excursions
Cabin / Stateroom
we have had interior staterooms before but this one only had one chair and room for no more - kind of poor - great closest space
